On Sept 19 last year, 18-year-old Dharun Ravi of Rutgers University tweeted about his roommate making out with another man and used his webcam to stream the sex encounter live on the Internet.
He tried to do the same two days later.
The next day, the roommate, Tyler Clementi, 18, killed himself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River. The Star-Ledger of Newark reported that on the day of his death, Clementi posted a note on his Facebook page, saying: "Jumping off the gw bridge sorry."
